Holy Week Schedule

We begin the Holy week on Palm Sunday. During this week, we commemorate very specially Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the Institution of Holy Qurbana, the Passion of Christ, who died on Good Friday in reparation for the sins of mankind, and rose on Easter Sunday to give new life to all who believe. Thus it anticipates the joy of Easter through the recognition of God’s goodness in sending His Son to die for our salvation.

During Holy Week the Church reminds us to spend the time in fervent prayers and to reflect on what Jesus has done for us in his love. In this spiritual journey of our faithful, to help them, this year we could arrange the Holy week services according to the tradition of our Church.

St. Mother Teresa Syro-Malabar Catholic Parish, Ottawa invite one and all to participate in these liturgical ceremonies to enter into the glory of the Easter. Please find the details of the holy week liturgical services in the attached poster.

In the light of Corona virus pandemic, all our Holy Week liturgical services will be limited to 60 people inside church.
