Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus, a global Catholic fraternal organization, is an integral part of our parish life here at St. Mother Teresa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Ottawa. Founded on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, our council actively lives out these values within our church community and beyond.

Serving Our Parish Family:

– Supporting the Holy Qurbana and other Liturgies: Knights assist as ushers, ensuring the smooth flow of services and providing a welcoming environment for all.
– Fundraising for Parish Needs: We organize events and initiatives to raise funds for church projects, maintenance, and outreach programs.
– Strengthening Community Bonds: We host social gatherings and fellowship events, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among parishioners.
– Serving the Altar: Knights often serve as altar servers, demonstrating their commitment to the sacred traditions of our Syro-Malabar faith.

Extending Our Reach:

– Caring for the Vulnerable: We provide support to the sick, elderly, and those facing difficult circumstances within our parish and the wider community.
– Promoting Youth Programs: We actively support youth initiatives, encouraging the spiritual growth and development of our young parishioners.
